OVERVIEW
Going up to Mount Etna along the typical hill roads bordered by dry-stone walls, we drive through the villages on the side of the volcano; each narrow, lava-paved street opens to small sunny squares where churches and Baroque style palaces made of lava stand. As we pass the lower slopes, settlements become less frequent and the differences in the terrain may well surprise you. From the man-made terrace systems comprised of vineyards, citrus groves and fruit trees and down the road bordered by the dense woods of chestnuts, beech, oaks, poplars, pines and birch, we travel along the lunar landscape of lava fields formed by the old and recent eruptions. Up ahead, lava from the 2002 eruption pouring down has lacerated the green mantel of pine woods, revealing centuries-old trees burnt like twigs. After the volcano exploration, we head to a beautiful example of Etna’s vineyards for a pleasant tasting of ETNA DOC label wines (quality controlled) matched with home-made appetizers and durum wheat bread. The vineyard lies on a sunny and airy terrace facing a breathtaking landscape. In the afternoon you will be transferred back to your hotel.[/su_note]

PRICE
It is calculated per person according to the number of participants and pick up place, as follows:

With more participants than two people the price lowers gradually. Over 14 years old, same price as adults. (it is applied a 20% off to guys aged 12-14, who travel with at least two full paying adults).

Wear different layers of clothing so you can adapt to the many sudden changes in the weather that you could meet on mount Etna, even in Summer. Proper shoes for rugged terrain and a wind-proof jacket are recommended.
