Sicily is not only a beautiful and dreamily spot of the world to visit but, if you are a Mediterranean cuisine lover, it is also the right place from which to take some cooking inspiration. Your cooking lesson takes place in a fully equipped restaurant’s kitchen set inside a Palmento (millstone) of the 19th century and includes a three-course lunch, with 1/2 bottle of wine per person, and dessert. Then, before returning to your hotel, the driver will bring you to the southern access point of Mount Etna (1900 m) for a pleasant walk.[/su_note]

OVERVIEW

The chef Antonella will lead you through a hands-on cooking lesson to help you discover the simplicity of preparing some traditional Sicilian dishes. Recipes vary according to the season, utilizing only the freshest ingredients available. Antonella will take you through each step of preparing dishes and at the end of your fun-filled Sicilian cooking class, you may take away a souvenir photo as well as the recipes to try back at home. Later, when everything is ready, the group will have lunch together with the fruit of our own labor matched with a good bottle of Sicilian wine. After taking the Sicilian cooking class and enjoyed the lunch, your driver will bring you to the southern access point of Mount Etna (1900 m) for a pleasant walk. Up there, you will have time to explore on your own, the Silvestri Craters, a group of inactive craters from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view on the valley below and Ionian Sea. You might also want to go shopping at the nearby area equipped with numerous tourist facilities as bars, restaurants and souvenir shops.[/su_note]

PRICE

It  is calculated per person  according to the number of participants and the point of pick up, as follows:

2 pax  – 3 pax –  4 pax – 5 pax –  6 pax.

With more participants than two people the price lowers gradually. Over 14 years old, same price as adults.

Please note

At the end of the class, 1 hour of free time to spend on Mount Etna is included.

Please wear different layers of clothing so you can adapt to the many sudden changes in the weather on Mount Etna, even in summer. Proper shoes for rugged terrain and a wind-proof jacket are recommended.

HOW TO BOOK

Privately, a booking form – which  incorporates all terms and conditions (deposit, payment, cancellation and responsibility) – will be sent you, to be signed for acceptance.  If the booking is made within 30 days before the tour’s start date, the full amount is required at the time of reservation.
