Here is an itinerary on Sicily Goethe’s footsteps crossing scenic nature beauties and the rich historical and archaeological heritage of eastern Sicily. The tour is a perfect balance of walkings through natural areas and some archaeological sightseeing. You can hike the majestic volcano Etna, trek the valley of the river Alcantara, the quiet back roads with stunning views on the red roofs of Taormina and the narrow peninsula of Naxos, take a boat trip around Isola Bella with its seaside grottos, and walk through tiny cobblestone streets of villages such as Castelmola and Noto.  Participants can choose between scheduled escorted programs and self-guided options, such as to tour either on bike or on foot.
