It is a treasure box made of an amazing mixture of Baroque style rebuilt on the old medieval layout. Once there, the lovely limestone buildings, bursting with charm and Baroque curlicues, will thrill you for skill and imagination of architects and stonemasons. Down in the valley Modica, just like Ibla, is also characterized by the Baroque style buildings and churches and boasts of history, art, culture. Here, a special stage will be devoted to the chocolate tasting, one of the first ever made in Europe based on an ancient Aztec recipe, to make sweet your “arrivederci” to Sicily.[/su_note]

OVERVIEW

Our tour begins in Ibla, with a walk from the Public Gardens, very well kept and from where one can enjoy some very beautiful views. The Cathedral of San Giorgio stands magnificent in the middle of this charming town centre. Along the way we can also see, the old Gentlemen’s Club dating back to the 19th century and all churches, palaces, sumptuous and richly decorated. Our tour continues down to Modica, a charming maze of small houses, narrow streets and long stairways, built around the hill. The town centre is full of Baroque art, among which are the two Unesco monuments of St Peter’s and St. George’s; in front of the latter church there is a monumental staircase, which has five naves and is rich in artistic ornaments and stuccoes.

Famous for its spicy chocolate, produced according to the ancient Aztec recipe, Modica is much appreciated for its culinary excellence. We end the tour with a tasting of this typical chocolate. Definitely, an experience that it cannot be missed.[/su_note]

PRICE

It  is calculated per person  according to the number of participants and the point of pick up, as follows:

2 pax  – 3 pax –  4 pax – 5 pax –  6 pax – 7 pax.

With more participants than two people the price lowers gradually.

*Discounted price (applicable only with at least two full paying adults):
– people aged 12-14 years old: 20% off;
– under 12 years old: free of charge.

Over 14 years old, same price as adults.

Privately, a booking form – which  incorporates all terms and conditions (deposit, payment, cancellation and responsibility) – will be sent you, to be signed for acceptance.  If the booking is made within 30 days before the tour’s start date, the full amount is required at the time of reservation.
