Your cooking class takes place in a fully equipped kitchen set inside a house facing the sea in the real heart of Ortygia, the ancient town of Siracusa.[/su_note]

OVERVIEW

The day starts touring the Ortigia’s wonderful outdoor market.
The ambience is punctuated by colored tarpaulins to protect from the elements the wares: a colorful assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables, meats and freshly caught fish from the teeming waters of the surrounding sea. Our hostess will offer you a walking tour with a tasting of local cheese and salumi among the market stalls before heading back to her kitchen for lots of fun.
Everybody knows her at the market; she introduces you to the venders and shows where to buy the best and the freshest food. With the fresh ingredients from the market and tips picked up along the way, Fiora welcomes you at her beautiful home overlooking the marina. Inside the fully equipped kitchen, you are able to gain hands experience how to make dishes while chatting about Sicilan life and food. After cooking you sit down together sipping a Sicilian Prosecco that precedes the lunch where you will eat the fruits of your creations matched with excellent wine. You can bring home the cooking apron and recipes to remember this wonderful day. Time at leisure to explore Ortigia and the historical sights of Siracusa at the end of lesson is included in the tour timing (1.30h).[/su_note]

PRICE

It  is calculated per person  according to the number of participants and the point of pick up, as follows:

2 pax  – 3 pax –  4 pax – 5 pax –  6 pax.

With more participants than two people the price lowers gradually.Over 14 years old, same price as adults.

– Pickups at your convenient point in Catania, Taormina and Siracusa areas by a private car service.
– Market tour

– Drinks, Prosecco and Sicilian wine selected by the chef
– Recipe of each dish

Exclusions:
– Personal expenses
– Tips and gratuities
– Optional activities cost

Please note: the class can include other participants up to a maximum of ten people. At the end of class, 1.30h of free time is included. Additional time it is still allowed if agreed before with the driver. Each additional hour is charged 7 Euro per person and is payable to the driver directly.

HOW TO BOOK

Privately, a booking form – which  incorporates all terms and conditions (deposit, payment, cancellation and responsibility) – will be sent you, to be signed for acceptance.  If the booking is made within 30 days before the tour’s start date, the full amount is required at the time of reservation. The deposit will be treated as part payment of the total amount due. Inquiry
